Tara Mesensky B.A., J.D., Advanced Diploma in Contemplative Psychotherapy
Tara adopts a client-centred approach to counselling. She creates a ‘safe container’, enabling individuals to communicate their thoughts and feelings. Thereby ensuring they receive understanding with compassion and acceptance. Her practice, rooted in Contemplative Psychology, incorporates mindfulness, compassion, and somatic-based modalities.
Tara completed a two-year clinical Diploma Program in Contemplative Psychotherapy with the Institute of Traditional Medicine/The Nalanda Institute. The Nalanda Institute Contemplative Psychotherapy Program, directed by Dr. Joe Loizzo, MD, PhD, is the leading certification program in the West for integrating mindfulness and compassion-based meditation practices and Buddhist psychology with contemporary psychotherapy and current neuropsychology. Before this, Tara was a practising family lawyer, trained in mediation and collaborative conflict resolution. Drawing from these skills and experience, along with her CINERGY® Conflict Coach training, she offers insights to help individuals navigate personal and relational challenges.
